About Parul University
A state-of-the-art campus situated in Vadodara, the cultural capital of Gujarat, is a modern and well-equipped educational institution that meet the needs of the students and faculties while also reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. From the date of its inception in 1993, to the point of its recognition as Parul University in the year 2015, the University has grown into one of India’s leading academic Institutions. The University is an amalgamation of 21 faculties and 37 institutes, with a plethora of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in numerous disciplines. The University offers a range of over 450 uniquely structured programs designed to suit the career prospects of every student aspirant. The 150-acre sprawling lush green campus with a conducive atmosphere for academic excellence is home to over 35,000 national and international students from 64 countries, making Parul University a culturally global destination. About Faculty of Pharmacy
Faculty of Pharmacy at Parul University has been contributing immensely in the field of research since 2004. The faculty is comprised of the Parul Institute of Pharmacy, Parul Institute of Pharmacy & Research, School of Pharmacy, Parul Institute of Pharmaceutical Education& Research, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Parul College of Pharmacy & Research. The Institutes have voluminous libraries, spacious lecture halls that are equipped with all the facilities necessary for research and developmental activities like 10 station tablet compression machine, extruder spheronizer, blenders, high-speed homogenizer, high-pressure homogenizer, probe sonicator, spray-drier, bench-top lyophilizer, malvernzetasizer, HPLC, IR, fluorescent microscope, PCR, gel electrophoresis, rota vapor, HPTLC, electrospinning machine, microfluidizer, rapid mixer granulator, inverted microscope, stability chamber, colorimeter, animal tracking software, biological microscope, fluidized based processor, flame photometer, UV spectrophotometer, digital plethysmometeretc. The Faculty of Pharmacy has grown impressively in both size and reputation and has become the preferred choice for many among all other self-financing institutes. All the institutions are approved by PCI and recognized by the government of Gujarat. The Faculty of Pharmacy is offering Diploma, UG, PG, Pharm.D, and Ph.D programs. We provide our students with distinguished knowledge and top-class facilities to meet the highest benchmark. We have well-experienced and learned faculties, a scholastic curriculum, diverse educational exposure, and various on-campus facilities that collectively focus on all-round learning experiences and rewarding opportunities for the students. Faculty of Pharmacy (Parul Institute of Pharmacy), Parul University received National recognition from the Ministry of Education, India, and ranked 53 by NIRF India Rankings 2023. The Faculty of Pharmacy has published over 500 research papers in reputed journals, around 20 book-chapters, and led over 30 patent applications. The Faculty of Pharmacy has received grants from various funding agencies to the tune of around 10 million for research and development. The students of the Facultyof Pharmacyhave excellent placement records and the students are recruited in reputed Pharmaceutical Industries/ Hospitals/ Research Centers/ Academic Institutions.
About the City
Vadodara, formerly known as Baroda, is the third largest city in the Indian State of Gujarat. The city is situated on the bank of the Vishwamitri River. Due to its rich cultural traditions, the city is referred to as SanskariNagari, i.e. Cultured City. Vadodara is a hub of several companies such as Sun Pharma, Alembic, ABB, Reliance Industries, Schneider Electric, Larsen and Toubro, Collabra, General Motors and IT multi-national companies. The city is on the major rail and road arteries joining Mumbai with Delhi and Mumbai with Ahmedabad. Due to this, Vadodara is known as Gateway to the Golden Quadrilateral. The recent decision of CII is to develop Vadodara as a “Knowledge City”.
